In the second match of the Asian qualifiers for the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup, China suffered a heavy 76–90 defeat to South Korea away from home and have now lost two games in a row during the break. At one point South Korea led by as many as 32 points, and the final 14-point margin was the largest in recent years.
